Laura Fish - is a child, adolescent, and adult therapist. For the past 15 years she has provided training and coaching on social and emotional development for early childhood education, elementary and high school teachers, mental health consultants and coaches. This break out session is for those who are curious about how to “see the child behind the behavior” through attuned interactions and an understanding of the mind and brain in the context of relationships, the tenets of interpersonal neurobiology. Come explore possible “updates” to your “software i.e., beliefs” about the brain reasons for challenging behavior and take away some mind methods for changing that behavior. Please also bring any questions you have about the brain and behavior, including how to promote mindfulness in the classroom.
